William Lattin Photography | About
Thank you for your interest in my work!

For me, photography is about exploring the oft overlooked details and fleeting moments of the world around us to create images that evoke emotional responses. I find that black and white images are my preference as they are like poetry is to prose – elegance in its most fundamental form. That being said, I certainly do use color when it provides the essential element to bringing an image to life!

I bring this same visual language to my commercial work for product advertising and website photography. My differentiator is using a fine art focus to create distinctive, unique and compelling images that hold the viewer’s attention. Please see www.fongadonga.com and www.suzannekopple.com for examples.

In terms of influences on my art, as with all of us, I stand on the shoulders of others. Photographic influencers include Merg Ross, Wynn Bullock, Margaret Bourke-White, Brett Weston and Ansel Adams. Richard Dischler, with his focus on pre-visualization, has helped me to see more clearly. My minimalist side has been influenced by A.M. Cassandre, Georgia O’Keefe, Joan Miro, the Bauhaus school, and many others.

My work is in a number of private collections in the United States.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you wish to purchase an image or if you have a project requiring an artistic and captivating approach.
